What if fitting in meant losing your mind?
Disturbing Behavior (1998) is a chilling teen sci-fi horror thriller starring James Marsden, Katie Holmes, and Nick Stahl. Directed by David Nutter, known for his work on The X-Files, this late-'90s cult favorite combines high school paranoia, sinister experiments, and the terrifying consequences of forced conformity.
After moving to the seemingly peaceful coastal town of Cradle Bay, teenager Steve Clark (James Marsden) quickly discovers that something isn't right with the school's picture-perfect students. The popular Blue Ribbons appear to be model teenagers, but beneath their polished appearances lurks something far more disturbing. Teaming up with rebellious outsider Rachel (Katie Holmes) and conspiracy-minded Gavin (Nick Stahl), Steve uncovers a terrifying secret involving behavioral modification and a sinister effort to eliminate teenage rebellion.
Blending elements of The Stepford Wives, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and classic teen horror, Disturbing Behavior captures the edgy atmosphere of late-1990s genre cinema. Its memorable cast, unsettling premise, and alternative-rock soundtrack make it a nostalgic favorite for fans of the era.
This vintage MGM Home Entertainment VHS release features the film's original theatrical artwork in a cardboard slipcover. A great addition to collections of 1990s horror, sci-fi thrillers, teen cult classics, and nostalgic VHS releases.
