From acclaimed filmmaker Werner Herzog comes Invincible (2001), a visually striking historical drama inspired by the extraordinary true story of Zishe Breitbart, a Jewish strongman whose remarkable physical strength propelled him from obscurity into the spotlight of pre-World War II Germany.

Set against the growing political tensions of 1930s Berlin, the film follows Zishe (Jouko Ahola), a humble blacksmith from Poland who is recruited to perform at a Berlin cabaret operated by the mysterious and manipulative Erik Jan Hanussen (Tim Roth). Initially presented as a mythical Aryan hero, Zishe eventually embraces his Jewish identity, challenging the dangerous ideology gaining power around him.

Featuring an atmospheric performance by Tim Roth and an appearance by Udo Kier, Invincible explores themes of identity, courage, manipulation, and the rise of Nazism. Herzog's distinctive storytelling and evocative cinematography make this an intriguing addition to the collections of arthouse cinema enthusiasts and fans of unconventional historical dramas.

This vintage New Line Home Entertainment VHS release features its original theatrical artwork in a cardboard slipcover. An excellent addition for collectors of Werner Herzog films, Tim Roth performances, independent cinema, and early-2000s VHS releases.
