Double the karate action, double the Hollywood hijinks! This Magic Kid VHS bundle brings together both films in the nostalgic 1990s family martial arts comedy series starring young black belt Ted Jan Roberts and Stephen Furst of Animal House fame.
In Magic Kid (1993), 13-year-old karate expert Kevin Ryan (Ted Jan Roberts) travels to California with his sister to visit their Uncle Bob (Stephen Furst), a fast-talking Hollywood talent agent with some serious financial problems. When Uncle Bob's dealings with the mob put everyone in danger, Kevin discovers that his martial arts skills might be the family's best defense. Featuring Shonda Whipple and a colorful cast of Hollywood characters, this action-packed comedy delivers plenty of high kicks and kid-friendly adventure.
Magic Kid 2 (1994) picks up with Kevin enjoying his newfound Hollywood fame as the star of a hit television show. But when he decides he'd rather live a normal teenager's life, unscrupulous studio executives refuse to let their young star walk away. With help from Uncle Bob and his loyal bulldog Buford, Kevin must outsmart the Hollywood power players determined to keep him under contract.
Both films are presented on their original PM Home Video VHS releases, complete with colorful 1990s cover artwork. This two-tape bundle is a fun throwback to the era of kid-powered martial arts movies, video store family favorites, and direct-to-video adventures.
Perfect for collectors of 1990s VHS, family action comedies, martial arts movies, and nostalgic video store entertainment.
